Trauma-Informed Brief Therapy for Case Managers

Designed and Instructed by Andrew Horman, M.A. Candidate, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, CTP

This course is designed for case managers, peer mentors, and frontline professionals who support clients in high-pressure, time-limited environments. Grounded in trauma-informed care and enriched by lived experience, it offers practical tools for building rapport, navigating crisis, and documenting with dignity.

Learners will explore brief therapy techniques, symbolic healing practices, and advocacy strategies that honor autonomy, emotional safety, and systemic context. From transitional housing to outpatient care, this training equips practitioners to respond with clarity, containment, and compassion—especially when time is short and stakes are high.

The curriculum includes interactive roleplays, downloadable resources, guided audio practices, and real-world case studies. Each module reflects a commitment to ethical care, cultural humility, and the integration of lived experience into clinical practice.

This course is currently in its final stages of preparation and will be available on Udemy following submission and approval.
